Evidence

The spider. How can a brain that is smaller than the head of a pin, conceive and plan the engineering wonder that is a spider web? How does it know precisely where to place it? And which strands to make sticky for catching unwary prey, while leaving other strands non-sticky so that it can makes its own way about without getting caught in its own trap? How does it know just where to sit and wait? How does it know what to do with a hapless fly, once caught? How does it know?

WHAT an amazing photograph. I think it's one of your best. I absolutely love it. I didn't know that some strands are sticky and others not. Amazing!
